Fling Things and People Building Plots are claimable creative spaces with a visible boundary, member list, Item Builder, house capacity, and save/load tools. Community documentation describes five plots and protection from grabbing or flinging within the boundary, but confirm the current count, claim prompt, and protection behavior in the live server.
Find and claim a plot
Use the Map hub to distinguish claimable plots from public landmark houses. A Building Plot should show a boundary and ownership or membership interface. Approach an unclaimed one and follow the live claim prompt. If every plot has an owner, request access, join another server, or wait for availability rather than interfering with an active build.
After claiming, walk the full boundary. Identify the member board, Item Builder output, save/load panel, main entrance, and a clear staging area. Do not spawn furniture until you know where new objects will emerge and which areas must stay open.
Plan the first build
Choose one purpose: a small house, display room, obstacle course, meeting space, or physics test lane. Mark walking paths and the Item Builder delivery area first. Place the largest structural objects next, then furniture, then decoration.
Use drop rather than throw. Rotate broad pieces in open space and bring them toward the surface slowly. If an object tips, move it back to staging instead of colliding with finished work. Rotate Objects provides a stable placement routine.
Keep temporary scaffolding and failed pieces separate so they can be removed before the house count becomes crowded.
Invite collaborators safely
The current community rank model uses Owner, Co-Owner, Member, and Requester. Accept a Requester only when you recognize the player and want them in the project. Give Member for ordinary building. Reserve Co-Owner for someone trusted to help manage requests, and keep save/load decisions with the Owner unless the live UI proves otherwise.
Explain the plan before granting access. Assign rooms or zones so two players do not grab the same object. Tell everyone that the Item Builder output and main path stay clear. Use Plot Ranks for the current permission matrix and its uncertainty labels.
If a collaborator becomes disruptive, use the live member controls rather than starting a physics fight inside the project.
Understand boundary protection
Community documentation says players cannot be grabbed, flung, or held while inside a Building Plot. Test the boundary conservatively with a friend and no hazard nearby. A player standing across the line or an object extending outside may behave differently.
Do not promise that every interaction is blocked. Updates can change protection, and permissions may affect object movement. Keep important pieces well inside the boundary and avoid using the edge as a combat shield.
Infinite House Time relates to staying on the house list, not the physical protection boundary. Raised Toys Limit relates to personal toys, not a larger plot.
Manage house capacity
The official Raised Toys Limit description explicitly says the house limit remains 600 even though the pass increases personal Your Toys from 100 to 200. Treat the house counter as a group resource. Remove duplicate props, buried mistakes, and temporary pieces before adding decoration.
Agree on who can spawn from the Item Builder. One queued object at a time keeps the output clear and prevents wasted capacity. If the counter reaches a warning state, pause and clean rather than testing whether the server will allow one more object.
Save at milestones
Save after a stable milestone: shell complete, main room complete, or final layout. Stop everyone’s movement, inspect the build, select the intended slot, and wait for visible confirmation. Do not test Load or Erase over unsaved work.
Community documentation associates save/load access with the Owner. It also reports a default slot count, but the official More House Saves description does not confirm exact numbers. Read the live panel and use House Saves before overwriting anything.
If you intend to leave for a long time, note that ordinary membership can expire. Infinite House Time protects against removal caused by staying away too long but has official exceptions for claiming another house or becoming a Requester elsewhere.
Fix common plot problems
If claim does not appear, verify the space is a Building Plot and unowned. If an item cannot be placed, clear collision, create distance from your avatar, and check current permissions. If the Item Builder output is blocked, remove or move the previous object.
If a save appears wrong, stop and avoid further overwrites. Confirm slot number and current build state. Never use an old timing glitch to reach a slot you did not purchase.
If the plot is crowded or contested, a quieter server is safer than escalating with the Grab Line.
Plot setup checklist
- Confirm boundary and ownership interface.
- Claim or request access through the live prompt.
- Locate Item Builder, member list, and save panel.
- Keep delivery and walking lanes clear.
- Assign least-needed ranks.
- Place large objects before detail.
- Clean capacity at each milestone.
- Save only after everyone stops moving.
